Pink Floyd Founder, Keyboardist, Dies at Age 65
Setembro 15 (Bloomberg) - Richard Wright, membro fundador da banda rock britânica Pink Floyd. teclado cujas linhas são uma parte integral de seu som psicodélico, tenha morrido. Ele era de 65.Wright morreu hoje depois de uma breve batalha contra o câncer, disse seu porta-voz, Doug Wright.
Enquanto Richard Wright obtém o crédito principalmente pelo seu trabalho sobre o teclado - o que ele ensinou ele próprio - ele também escrevia e cantava canções de clássicos do floyd, como a Time e Echoes.

A banda conseguida com o estrelato mundial altamente experimental 1973 álbum The Dark Side Of The Moon.
Em 1979, band líder despedido Wright e Waters permitiu-lhe desempenhar apenas um assalariado como sideman para concertos ao vivo durante o álbum The Wall, de acordo com o site allmusic.com. O grupo reformada sem Waters, e com Wright, 1987 para os Lapso momentâneo Um álbum da razão. Ele se tornou um a tempo inteiro, membro da banda de novo em 1994.
Ele lançou seu primeiro álbum solo, Wet Dream, em 1978, e seu segundo trabalho, Broken Chin
